Palus Putredinis | Marsh of Decay

What is a Lunar marsh? Presumably not quite smooth enough to be a bay, not rough enough to be something else

Observer Comments

Target DescriptionWhy a Marsh? A little too rough for a Sinus/Bay? Tucked in between the crater Archimedes and the Montes Apenninus. Anyway, a great name for a horror film!
Image Capture DescriptionThis is another of my "library" photos, captured because it was a nice crisp view of the moon on an evening I was observing with the Seestar from my rear deck.
