| Description | An unexpecgted observation: forecast was mostly cloudy but it turned beautifully clear around 9 PM and stayed that way until about midnight. Obviously not captured with the Hale Telescope, as the FOV is wider than my EdgeHD... presumably the 48" Schmidt. This is a barred dwarf galaxy, thought to have formed its structure due to interaction with the smaller galaxy, NGC 4625. Arp doesn't say this, but probably suspects it due to going out of his way to capture a wide field view. |
