| Description | Yet another discovery by William Herschel on April 8, 1784. NGC 4298 (angling down) and 4302 (edge-on) are both members of the Virgo Cluster. 4298 is classified as a flocculent (meaning "flaky") spiral galaxy, due to its arms being patchy and discontinuous. |
