DescriptionAnother William Herschel discovery from 1792. Formation started when, 1) about 250,000 years ago, a star expanded to a red super-giant, and ejected matter that moved with a slow solar wind. 2) The star then transformed into a Wolf-Rayet star, characterized by extremely hot temperatures and incredibly fast stellar winds. 3) This fast wind slams into the previously ejected, slower-moving gas, creating powerful shockwaves and sculpting the crescent shape we see today. Revisit triggered by CN Sept 25 EAA Challenge. Allowed me to use latest software and new 2600mc camera.
