Description | The first total lunar eclipse in more than a decade visited the Catskills with totality lasting nearly an hour starting around 2:30 AM. I'd prepped everything, but wasn't prepared for the Seestar to balk at locating the moon. Had to deal with that minor crisis which meant I missed some pre-totality imagery. Anyway, it wasn't perfectly clear, with some thin, high, clouds but not enough to seriously interfere with the spectacle. Truly lovely. |
