Description | This is one of the densest galaxy fields in Northern Hemisphere skies. It contains no less than nine Messier galaxies, plus dozens of others. Collected using my FMA-180 on a very windy night. I'd hoped to capture Virgo A with my EdgeHD, but winds wouldn't allow it. In the event, I collected Virgo A (M87) on the following night. I suggest you view the annotated widefield image found in the gallery on a large screen, and zoom in. |
