DescriptionThis is a beautiful reflection nebula, much brighter than most. It was discovered by William Herschel on October 18, 1794. A reflection nebula is illuminated by local stars, as opposed to emission nebulae, where the gas is excited to the point where it glows on its own. This was an early capture with my EdgeHD. This is also, now, a favorite target at star parties using my Askar V. It appears quickly and people love it.
